Original Toronto Star caption: Soggy streets: Cars made a big splash yesterday as they travelled on Avenue Rd. south of St. Clair. The steady rainfall brought flooding on many of Metro's streets; causing giant-sized puddles. The storm; which snapped power lines and closed highways across Ontario; dumped six centimetres (2.5 inches) of snow and 29 millimetres (about 1 inch) of rain on Metro.
