Original Toronto Star caption: Few takers: About 60 people turned out for an auction of new homes in Oakville last night. But although eight homes were offered for as low as $34;000 below list price; only one was sold. Verdone and Sons Ltd. of Guelph ran the auction of $1 million worth of homes in Glenforest Estates near Bronte Rd. Verdone said the homes; which listed from $119;975 to $142;950; will not be auctioned again.
