Good old Ethel, of 'Arwich, is 'ere on visit

The Thames river barge; Ethel; was far from her home port of Harwich; when she arrived in Toronto this week as deck cargo aboard Finnish freighter Pubos. More than 80 years ago; the historic barge sailed the Thames carrying grain for English flour mills. After she is rigged with her traditional red sails; Ethel will be on display at Harbourfront Pier 4 on July 30 and 31. The vessel is on loan to Redpath Sugars Ltd. for three years and will visit some Great Lakes ports.
