Original Toronto Star caption: Hard-Luck Ship Hard Aground?; The Orient Trader; the ship which caught fire last July and burned for three days at the Toronto waterfront; seems to have found its final resting place on the rocks. But it's just an illusion. Actually the 455-foot freighter is tied up at the Toronto Turning Basin for the winter. When the fire occurred it provided a chance for the city's fireboat; the William Lyon Mackenzie; to prove itself. The fireboat's action helped preserve part of ship's cargo. Later the freighter; which was Greek-owned; was brought by a Port Colborne salvage firm.
