Original Toronto Star caption: Lake Ontario beauty sails past; Under full sail; the 60-foot brigantine Playfair passes Toronto Island's Western Gap with 25 students aboard. The twin-masted vessel first sailed last year and is the sister ship to the brigantine Pathfinder which has been cruising the Great Lakes for 12 years. The ships are operated by Toronto Brigantine Inc.; a non-profit combination of businessmen and sailing enthusiasts. Thousands of teenagers have been trained in summer courses and sometimes ships are chartered by school groups.
