Line-ups everywhere

Original Toronto Star caption: Line-ups everywhere: Off-duty police were hired by most major stores to control crowds inside and outside their premises yesterday. The line-up outside Fairweather's store on downtown Yonge St. was a block long for most of the day as bargain hunters waited their turn at the counters and shelves loaded with sale-priced clothing. Store-keepers said the crowds were good-natured.
