Original Toronto Star caption: Cars parked along lakeshore area in west end were caked with up to 3 inches of frozen spray whipped up by hurricane-force winds yesterday. Ray Russell's frozen hair was almost a match as he measured ice on a car parked at Boulevard Club. It was believed to be worst-damaged building in Metro from storm. Gusts up to 120 km/h (72 m.p.h.) struck Metro area; the strongest gust registered in Ontario yesterday was 150 km/h (90 m.p.h.) at Trenton.
