Original Toronto Star caption: Every available Bus in Metro was chartered by major airlines yesterday to take passengers to connecting flights in Niagara Falls; N.Y.; Buffalo and Detroit after Toronto International Airport was almost closed down by air controllers' strike. Airport should have handled 400 flights and 30;000 passengers; lost revenue wasa bout $4 million. Fifteen Air Canada flights moved. They were re-routed to U.S. Cab drivers did a roaring trade to border points.
