Original Toronto Star caption: Union members sit defiantly on the train tracks in front of the Pilkington Glass Ltd. plant on Danforth Rd. in an attempt to halt a shipment of supplies. Police eventually cleared the tracks; but not without a few physical clashes. Two strikers and a policeman were taken to hospital; one was charged with assault.
