Original Toronto Star caption: Assistant supervisor Norman McLeod prepares transfers for drivers at TTC yard on Wychwood Ave. today. Despite a back-to-work order from the Ontario Legislature hundreds of drivers are expected to stay away from work; for which they could be fiend $1;000 a day. The bill ordering them back to work was given royal assent by Lieutenant-Governor Pauline McGibbon at 1.44 a.m.; after about 11 hours of debate. Service is very; very limited said a traffic controller.
