Original Toronto Star caption: Impromptu Sign Service is set up by public health nurses Melinda Paterson (left) and Linda Wilson on road leading to Scarborough Civic Centre as associates start a one-week strike yesterday to underline demands for compulsory arbitration of contract disputes. Nurses from 26 public health units across province went out on strike yesterday in similar disputes. Scarborough Alderman Frank Faubert says they don't deserve same salaries as hospital nurses.
