Original Toronto Star caption: Despite Reports that Algonquin's Lake of Two Rivers was polluted; thousands of campers crowded its beach over the holiday weekend. Hundreds had to be turned away from the crowded campsites. Yesterday a Lands and Forests department spokesman admitted that pollution on the lake had exceeded safe levels three weeks ago; but denied that it was as bad as the Algonquin Wildlife League had claimed.
