Original Toronto Star caption: Carton to examine new pedal car's safety. Ontario Transportation Minister Gordon Carton says he intends to ask his officials to investigate whether there are grounds for banning a new three-wheeled pedal car from Ontrio's roads. In an interview; Carton expressed his concern that the public roads might not be the place for the two-seat people powered vehicle made in the United States and now being sold in Ontario. I am scared-that use of this vehicle might snowball. Carton said. I want to find out just how safe it really is. [Incomplete]
