Original Toronto Star caption: Barnyard animals: The carved and painted wooden draught horse has a cream-colored body dappled with black swirls and a tail of wood strand. Made in the 1950s; it is 13 1/4 inches long and is estimated at $300 to $400. One of the cows has a string tail bound with thread. The other is horned and has a plaited tail. They measure 8 3/4 inches and 10 1/4 inches respectively and are estimated at $400 to $600 the pair.
