Original Toronto Star caption: Toronto is fine for the blind but it could be better says John Simmons; recreation supervisor for Canadian National Institute for the Blind on Bayview Ave. As he sat listening to swish of skates at Nathan Phillips Square; he recalled memories of city when he was a youth; and had his sight. He became blind 30 years ago while a merchant seaman. He talked constantly about city's changing skyline and how much faster traffic seem to be moving.
