Original Toronto Star caption: The most-improved farm in the 945 square miles of Durham Region this year is the Holstein operation owned by Clifford Redman of Scugog Island; winner in his category of a competition in conjunction with the World Plowing Match; which opens Tuesday in Oshawa. Redman has been fixing up the farm every year; the contest; he says; gave him an extra incentive and he got a lot more done; such as sandblasting the house and putting steel siding on the barn. The plowing match is one of the largest agricultural shows ever staged in North America.
