Original Toronto Star caption: A Petition of Protest: Friends and relatives of Indians turned away at Toronto International Airport last night sign petition after latest immigration department crackdown on visitors who later stay on and apply for landed immigrant status. Indians were returned to New York last night without meeting relatives waiting for them here. Petition protesting such treatment is to be sent to the Prime Minister.
