Original Toronto Star caption: An 18-year battle with the workmen's compensation board has been won by 50-year-old Antonio Nigro. An 1958 accident during construction of the Bloor St. subway left him on crutches. He has been unable to work since. Nigro will receive a lump sum of $80,000 and monthly cheques of about $300.
