Original Toronto Star caption: Joseph Hampl is living proof of the success achieved in an operation two months ago in which a section of vein from his leg was transplanted to replace thickened arteries leading to his heart. Hampl, 64, watched the operation on a closed-circuit TV monitor over his head. Before the operation he couldn't make a flight of stairs at work. Now I feel great. He's hoping that he will be back at work next week.
