Original Toronto Star caption: By themselves in a Toronto apartment is a new way of life for Monte Lund, left, and David Kim two are mentally retarded men who can't read or write and have limited conversational capacity. Up to two months ago Kimber lived all his adult life in an institute while Lund depended on care of relatives. Today, in an experimental program started by Metro Association for Mentally Retarded, they're sharing a high-rise apartment, doing own cooking and shopping and going to work every day.
