Original Toronto Star caption: Neighbor Carol Phelan, a nurse, helped apply a tourniquet to Chomski's leg. His leg was a mass of blood - it was mangled but he was still conscious and talking, she said. Mrs. Phelan said Chomski moaned: My leg's gone, I wish I were gone. Somebody's put a bomb in my car.
