Original Toronto Star caption: The swinging tempo the Salvation Army band used at the corner of Yonge and Albert Sts. Had to be abandoned yesterday because the cold snap froze the lead electric guitar. But the musicians are still plugging away at the old standards with less balky instruments. From left are Edith Clarke, Bram Berecroft, Jane Clarke, Major Norman Berecroft and leader Major George Clarke.
