The winning jockey; Don Frazier Jr.; is an apprentice; signed to a three-year contract by Warren Beasley; who had never seen Frazier ride in a race until yesterday. He bough Frazier's contract on advice of a trainer and the 23-year-old Knoxville; Tenn; jockey started paying dividends right away. Pink Ice was one of four longshot winners.
