Original Toronto Star caption: Cane-like sticks are handier for tripping field hockey opponents than for controlling the ball; but the Canadian Olympic team used them well enough yesterday to score a satisfying 3-1 win over Argentina (dark uniforms). Canada has no chance for a medal at the Montreal Games; but the win avenged a 1-0 loss to the Argentine squad in the final of last October's Pan-American Games. This was out best international win; said coach Errol Hartley after the victory.
