Original Toronto Star caption: Giving mother nature a helping hand; Making artificial snow; professional snowmakers John Hockridge and Pete Wildhagen ride snowmobile from one snow cannon to another in the Glen Eden ski area in the Kelso Conservation Area; just west of Milton. There are six of the cannons on the five ski runs in the popular conservation area; and they're busy making snow 24 hours a day during skiing season-even when Mother Nature provides a blizzard on her own. They make skiing possible in weather like this week's.
