Original Toronto Star caption: Now wait for the 'Walk' signal; A policeman does his best to direct a varied assortment of traffic about to set out from near City Hall on the Eaton 10-km run through downtown streets yesterday. The race was won in 29.26 by Paul Craig of the Toronto Olympic Club but only seven seconds behind was a runner in the junior category. Brendan Matthias of Thornhill. Ray Taulins of Sudbury was third in 29.37. The first 400 finishers were given certificates.
