Original Toronto Star caption: It was a wet bunch of Blue Jays loyalists who sat glumly in the stands last night waiting for the rain to let up so the Jays and Chicago White Sox could start their two-game mini-series. Finally; after about an hour; the maintenance crew began to roll up the tarpaulin; the game began and the Chisox; with Floyd Bannister pitching against Joey Johnson; took an early 2-0 lead. Among those sitting it out was third baseman Kelly Gruber; sidelined with an injury.
