Original Toronto Star caption: One of the most important 'backroom' jobs in getting an opera together is the contribution of the scenic artist. Georg Schloegl this week was putting finishing touches to the scenery for two productions by the Canadian Opera Company; which starts its season at the O'Keefe Centre Sept. 6. Here he studies a model of one set while members of his five-man crew work on the real thing in the background. The set designer makes up the model; Schloegl brings the stage to life.
