Original Toronto Star caption: A Musical high in the park. A six-hour concert of rock; folk; blues and pop music-the High Park Freee Festival-drew a crowd police estimate at between 40;000 and 45;000 persons to High Park yesterday; plus 130 police. Forty-nine were charged; 24 of them on drug charges; and nine persons were treated for overdoses of drugs. In addition; others were treated for injuries suffered when they fell out of trees while listening to such Toronto groups as Cathy Young with Finderwood; John Allan Cameron; Shingoose; Good Brothers; Dave Nicol and John Mills-Cockell.
