Pioneer Style; The horse-drawn wagon ride around Black Creek Pioneer Village at Jane St. and Steeles Ave. was a popular event yesterday with children who had a holiday from school. The village operated by the Metro Toronto and Region Conservation Authority; officially opened for the season last week. Last year; a record 270; 000 visitors toured the 27 fully restored historic buildings depicting life in a rural Ontario settlement before Confederation. The village is open to the public weekdays from 9.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on weekends and holidays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
