Original Toronto Star caption: Historic Landmark; In this building just outside Brockville; which goes by the name of Craft's tavern; the first Orange order in Ontario was instituted in 1826; an Irish immigrant; Arthur McLean; being the prime mover of the organization. The two-storey frame structure now bears weather-beaten appearance; having withstand the rigors of Canadian winters more than a century.
