Original Toronto Star caption: Three Thugs Rob Bronte Bank of $1;600; Three thugs with sawed-off with sawed-off shotguns entered the Bronte branch of the Bank of Montreal yesterday afternoon and forced the teller and a girl clerk into the vault and made off with $1;600. In the layout are shown (1) Miss Bella Bray; who saw the men running from the bank and gave the alarm; in (4) and (7) are shown Miss Aileen Stainbury and L. M. Bray; father of Miss Bray; both of whom saw the robbers standing outside the bank before the hold-up; talking beside their car; John Paterson (2); clerk; who was forced into the vault along with Miss Grace Inglehurt; who is shown in (5); In (6) is shown Police Chief Lou Patterson; who chased the bandits as far as the Middle Rd.
