Original Toronto Star caption: At left is the town as it stands today with most of the buildings reconstructed. Only need of the villagers now; according to Mrs. Gordon Hopkins; is a stopping-off place; hotel or restaurant; because a great many travellers and tourists pass through here. Kinmount is in the valley of Burnt River; 65 miles north of Peterboro; just south of the Haliburton border.
