Original Toronto Star caption: The new City of North York would include the present North York and Weston; for a population of 350;000; slightly more than one-fifth of the total in Metro. Its council would have 21 members; compared to 24 now governing North York and Weston. The new council would have a mayor; 16 aldermen and four Metro councillors. Two aldermen would be elected from each of eight wards. Each Metro councillor would represent two abutting wards. The present North York has a reeve and 16 council members. Weston has a mayor and six council members.
