A house with eight time the floor area of the average house, set on 200 acres in the Uxbridge Hills, is for sale - at an asking price of $1.25 million. It wa built three years ago by retaired fruit farmer Bruce Stephens and his wife, Gwen, who find it too big now that their children are grown. They sit (below) in the kitchen-recreation room. The property holds a heated horse barn with 32 stalls, five paddocks, an indoor riding arena, outdoor pool and a guest house.

Sho-Rite will open 30 sales rooms next month, several in the Toronto area. More units under banners of Woolco, Cardinal and Consumers Distributing will push sales over $200 million.

The Belcourt family, Patricia, Marc, and children Lisa, 3, and Stephen, 7-stand outside their house in West Hill which they sold for $54,000, only to find 10 days later it had been resold for $63,000. Belcourt has asked the Supreme Court of Ontario to cancel the first sale and refund the $2,700 real estate commission. They have been offered the $9,000 and the commission out of court.
