Original Toronto Star caption: Reduced heating costs: Whitby firefighters hoses down and check a truck in front of Fire Hall 2 on Thickson Rd. The station's annual heating costs were reduced when it converted from oil to natural gas in 1982. It recouped its $7,600 investment in five years.
