Original Toronto Star caption: Making way for Trees; The wreckers are getting their hammers closer and closer to the proud old name on the old Bank of Montreal building on the northwest corner of King and Bay Sts. The new bank tower is in the background. The site is being cleared to become part of First Canadian Place; and some bright day will be re-opened as part of the total development to brighten Bay St. with promenade; sparkling fountains and shade trees.
