Original Toronto Star caption: Going up; Gradually rising above street level; construction of the New Massey Hall is progressing at King and Simcoe Sts. in downtown Toronto. The $34 million future home of the Toronto Symphony and the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir is scheduled for completion in the fall of 1981. It was designed by architect Arthur Erickson and will have 2;800 seats.
