Original Toronto Star caption: Synod and presbytery have honored the minister. Rev. Dr. Rupert Stewart (LEFT) has been 11 years at St. John's Presbyterian church. As well as serving the congregation he acts as moderator of the Toronto and Kingston synod and the Toronto presbytery of the church. Assisting him in making the church at Broadview and Simpson Ave. (TOP) a centre of community are Albert Kennedy (CENTRE), choirmaster and organist, and H. W. D. Leef, superintendent of the Sunday school of 800 members.
