Original Toronto Star caption: Children by their thousands; jammed into the C.N.E. grandstand yesterday and; as this is the shows; there wasn't be bit of empty room anywhere and all hands were enjoying themselves. It was Children's Day about big fair and they whooped it up all day long. Exactly 2;906 boys and girls were reported lost by closing time; which was 226 more than last year and the demand for ice cream was so heavy that the supply petured out early in the evening. Attendance was 203;500 a Children's Day record.
