Original Toronto Star caption: $400;000 a year is the cost of operating the city fireboat; the William Lyon Mackenzie; and Toronto Mayor David Crombie wants some help from Metro in footing the bill. He says it's only fair because the Mackenzie is the only fireboat in the area and therefore responsible for the entire Metro waterfront. Next week the Metro Executive Committee will consider motion that Metro help pay for it.
