Original Toronto Star caption: A wheelhouse is lifted off the 64-year-old steam paddle-wheel ferry Trillium by a huge crane in the Whitby yard of McNamara Marine Ltd.; where a $950;000 refit is under way to allow the ship to ply Toronto harbor once again. The marine engineer in charge of refit says the Trillium likely will be back in service next summer; capable of carrying more than 1;000 passengers to Toronto Islands.
