Original Toronto Star caption: Star water-curtain aide in checking fire. When fire broke out; shortly before noon to-day; in the Laura Matilda Tea Rooms; 90 King St. W.; flames and smoke leaped up to the west side of The Star building immediately adjacent. The Star building's water sprinker system was turned on thus preventing further damage and effectively checking the fire from spreading. The photograph here was taken during the fire. The water-curtain is dropping down the side of The Star building on the other smoke as indicated by the arrow. [Incomplete]
