Original Toronto Star caption: Romain building changes hands. Above is a photograph of the Romain building; 83 to 91 King St. W.; which to-day figures in one of the large down-town realty transactions of the year. This important proeprty has been sold by the owners; the George Pears Estate; through Percy Joliiffe; manager of the real estate department of the Toronto General Trusts Corporation; to a client of Gibson Bros.; realtors; for $300;000. An important building is planned for the site and this will be the subject of a later announcement. The price paid; well over $3;000 per foot front; establishes a new standrad of real estat values on King St. in th area between Bay and York Sts.
