Original Toronto Star caption: This canada goose was plucked--to safety. Still in the net used to pluck it from Toronto Harbor today; an oil-saturated; exhausted Canada goose relaxes in arms of Humane Society Inspector Wilfred Patey after it was rescued by a Harbor Police boat. To reach the spot where the goose was stranded in open water near Maple Leaf Mills Ltd. oil refinery on Queen's Quay; the boat had to cut through three-inch ice. The goose is expected to recover.
