Original Toronto Star caption: Soggy but smiling; some of the estimated 25;000 people who attended the International Picnic on Centre Island yesterday got some shelter from the rain. Attendance was down on the last day of the three-day 12th annual event; sponsored by radio station CHIN. Folk dancers and bands valiantly performed until the rain came down so heavily they had to stop. Picnic organizer Johnny Lombardi said yesterday was the first time it had rained in the event's history
