For the first time in the history of the Toronto police force; a father and son will both be on pension at the same time when Etobicoke Inspector of Detectives Frank Cater (left); 53; retires this week. His father; Sid Cater (right); 80; who retired in 1941 after 30 years; is an avid fisherman; and the pair look over their favorite lures and plan fishing trips together. Sid was one of Toronto's first motorcyle policemen; and drove Toronto's first police cruiser; a model T Ford. Frank helped capture bank robber Edwin Alonzo Boyd.
