Original Toronto Star caption: Horsepowered lawmen: Members of the 67-man Metro police mounted unit - which marks its 100th anniversary this year - Constables James McAleer; Paul Dean; Dave Hannaford and John Dower canter through Sunnybrook Park near their headquarters. The unit's 47 horses; aged 3 to 18 years; are kept in three stables: Sunnybrook Park; the 41 Division station on Eglinton Ave. E. in Scarborough and at 22 Division on Dundas St. W. in Etobicoke.
