Original Toronto Star caption: A political decision; not a planning one; was how the Ontario Municipal Board described Toronto City Council's bylaw limiting development until next September to a height of 45 feet and a floor space of 40;000 square feet in the area bounded by Spadina Ave.; the CPR tracks along Dupont St.; Sherbourne St.; and the Gardiner Expressway. The municipal board killed the bylaw. City may appeal.

Next stop; Lima. Toronto dock workers load one of 25 buses decommissioned by the Toronto Transit Commission on to a freighter at Pier 51 near Cherry St. and Unwin Ave. yesterday. The buses; taken out of service after 18 years; and two city garbage trucks are bound for Lima; Peru.
