Original Toronto Star caption: A subway station is what this 75-year-old house on Spadina Rd.just north of Bloor St. will become. The Toronto Transit Commission has decided to use the house as an entrance to the Spadina subway line instead of demolishing it. The Toronto Historical Board had listed the house for its architectural interest and its importance to the streetscape. Toronto Mayor David Crombie calls the ruling victory.
